Percent Pledge, the premier workplace giving & volunteering solution for growing businesses recently recognized by Built In Chicago as one of "2019's Top 50 Startups to Watch," today announced several new enhancements. In addition to Percent Pledge's original giving portfolios, such as Youth & Education, they now offer customizable Company Cause Portfolios, local Cause Portfolios, and even a BYOP (Build Your Own Portfolio) feature.

Percent Pledge's workplace giving platform is an innovative take on the recurring giving model, enabling employees at client companies to donate a percentage of their monthly pay or budget – "a percent pledge" – to collections of top-rated charities called "Cause Portfolios." Once employees sign up, which takes just 3 minutes, Percent Pledge automates their monthly donations, archives their tax receipts, and delivers ongoing impact transparency through personalized bi-weekly Pledge Reports. By pre-vetting the charities included within each Cause Portfolio, Percent Pledge eliminates the burden placed on donors to research over 1M+ 501(c)3s in the US alone, simplifies the giving process and diversifies each donor's impact.

"Our Cause Portfolio concept has been core to our success from the beginning, helping us deliver employees and client companies a simple, trusted, and transparent giving experience," said Joel Pollick, Founder of Percent Pledge. "As our community of givers has grown, we've received requests for more localized giving opportunities as well as more opportunities to donate to specific charities not included in our core portfolios. We're grateful for our Pledger's help in identifying ways to build on this foundational concept, and we're thrilled to deliver them these valuable additions."

Percent Pledge has kicked off what will be a series of city-based Cause Portfolios with its hometown, Chicago, featuring One Tail at a Time dog rescue, Hope for the Day mental health education advocates, and i.c. Stars tech development program. New York, where they have their second largest population of Pledgers, is next on the list, with plans to expand to Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Austin.

Additionally, the new BYOP feature enables both employees and companies the ability to fully customize their giving within Percent Pledge. Employees can search a database of 1M+ registered charities to find their preferred charities and give together with their colleagues. For companies, Percent Pledge curates a portfolio of vetted charities based on alignment with company values, delivering strategic charity partnerships while providing their employees a unique giving option they can call their own.

Percent Pledge adds these new giving options to its original 7 Cause Portfolios and has introduced this improved giving experience across its client community, which includes such companies as SpotHero, Visibly & Yello.
